Heavy monsoon rainfall and floods have affected some 2.3 million people in Pakistan since mid-June. Sindh and Balochistan are the two most affected provinces in terms of human and infrastructural impact. According to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the total number of damaged houses is 176,436, and around 1,868,098 people are affected in Sindh and Balochistan.
